FAQs
For reasons unknown to our web dev, who is actually just a baker (these facts are very related), any sort of blocking that applies to marketing cookies prevents our calendar from appearing directly on this page.
If you opted out of accepting marketing cookies accidentally, please follow these instructions:
- Click the round button in the lower right-hand corner of your screen. This should open a small window labeled "Cookie settings".
- Click the button labeled "Change your consent". This should make a dialog window pop up.
- Flip the switch to the right of the word "Marketing", then click the button labeled "Allow selection". Alternatively, clicking the button labeled "Allow all" will enable all cookies, including marketing cookies.
- Refresh the webpage. You should now be able to see the Golden Hind Wine Bar Events Calendar.
If you opted out of accepting marketing cookies deliberately, you can either:
- Click here to view the calendar on an external webpage not subject to Golden Hind's cookie policy
or:
- Visit our Facebook page and look through our posted events
Yes, but not all of them, and there's an easy way to see which is which! Click the "Categories" drop-down menu to see a list of event types, including Free, Paid, and Members-Only. Checking one of these options will make only that kind of event visible to you until you uncheck it again.
Each event listing should contain a link to a website where you can purchase tickets for that event.
Now, we aren't the brains behind every event held in our space, so there are a number of events whose ticket sales we have nothing to do with! That said, tickets for events we did cook up in-house can be found and purchased directly from our online box office.
Yeah...that sounds like a lot of ways to say pretty much the same thing, we know. Here's a quick guide to what we mean:
- Events with an Entry Fee don't require you to make any sort of reservation, but you do have to pay to play. These events are usually things like small wine or tea tastings. They're walk-in friendly by design, and we'll take payment right at the front counter or bar.
- For RSVP events, we have to know who's coming in advance, but we aren't requiring special payment from attendees in most cases. You may still have to "buy" a ticket for a cool $0.00, but that's just so we can get you on the list.
- Ticketed Events are events which require you to purchase one of a fixed number of available tickets, usually in advance. We have to know you're attending, and you've got to pay to attend.
We typically only close to the general public during very large or specially-booked private events, so tickets, fees, or RSVPs aside, you're welcome to come by and enjoy our regular service!
